Title: AI Contract analyzer app
Description: Ai based contractor analysis app for a law firm.
Industry: Law
Release Date: September 10,th 2025
Shape RESEARCH

The Contract Analysis App was shaped by research into legal tech gaps, user needs, and AI capabilities. Market data showed that most people lack affordable access to legal help, with contract review often costing $300–$500 per hour. Interviews with renters, freelancers, and small business owners confirmed a shared anxiety around signing documents they don’t fully understand. After evaluating multiple AI models, GPT-4o vision was chosen for its strong accuracy in reading contracts and interpreting legal language. Competitive analysis highlighted opportunities for a mobile-first, instant, and transparently priced solution. Usability testing reinforced that users needed contract analysis on the go, since many signing situations happen outside home or office. Research into common contract types and pitfalls helped refine the AI’s prompts so it could flag risks, unusual clauses, and region-specific issues across leases, employment agreements, and service contracts.

Shape DESIGN

The design strategy for the Contract Analysis App focuses on a true mobile-native experience inspired by Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and high-end consumer apps. The visual style avoids generic AI themes, using refined color systems, layered gradients, and thoughtful whitespace. Onboarding uses a simple four-screen flow with swipe gestures and light animations. The main workflow was streamlined so users can capture documents easily, preview pages, and tap a sticky “Analyze” button without extra steps. Results appear in a polished bottom sheet with smooth gestures, clear color-coded concerns, expandable sections, and law-firm logos for regional context. Micro-interactions like haptics, animated loaders, and smooth transitions help the app feel premium. Typography follows SF Pro, and all spacing uses an 8-point grid for consistency. The pricing screen uses clean comparison cards and clear value cues. Every design choice aims to make contract analysis feel fast, trustworthy, and naturally at home on iOS.

Shape DEVELOPMENT

The Contract Analysis App was built with Expo SDK 53, React Native 0.76.7, and TypeScript to ensure strong performance and reliability. It uses Zustand for fast, lightweight state management and AsyncStorage to preserve user data like subscription status, contract history, and favorites. The analysis engine integrates OpenAI’s GPT-4o vision API with smart batching for multi-page documents, dynamic detail levels, and risk-assessment logic to merge results accurately. Navigation is handled with React Navigation and bottom-sheet modals for a smooth, native feel, while styling is powered by NativeWind. The app follows production-quality standards including error handling, optimized rendering, lazy loading, and memoization. It also integrates Clearbit for branding, native modules for camera and document access, StoreReview prompts, and haptic feedback. Deployment is managed through EAS with secure environment variables to protect sensitive keys.
